Taylor Kinney Is Back—And Chicago Fire Fans Are Losing It

After a long-awaited absence, Taylor Kinney has finally stepped back into his iconic role as Lieutenant Kelly Severide on Chicago Fire, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. His surprise return in Season 13 caught many off guard, reigniting the spark that made the show a primetime powerhouse in the first place.

Kinney had taken a temporary leave in 2023 for personal reasons, and though the show did its best to fill the void, Severide’s absence was deeply felt. Now, with his rugged charm and firefighting instincts back in action, viewers are flocking to social media to celebrate.

“It hasn’t felt like Chicago Fire without Severide,” one fan wrote on X. “Now we’re back in business.”

Whether he’s rescuing civilians or navigating the emotional minefield that is his marriage to Stella Kidd, Taylor Kinney’s return is exactly the kind of drama fans live for. Welcome home, Lieutenant.
