BREAKING NEWS: Violet’s Worst Nightmare Returns—Will She Fall for Her Enemy’s Plea for Help?

Chicago Fire is never short on drama, with major developments unfolding for key characters like Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide, as well as the beloved crossover couple,

Mouch and Platt. But while some are looking ahead to their futures, Violet Mikami is about to be confronted with a ghost from her past, and it won’t be an easy encounter.

The upcoming episode, Born of Fire, promises an intense storyline for Violet as she faces someone she has a complicated history with.

According to the official synopsis, “Violet’s former nemesis returns, pleading for her help.” Given that Violet is generally well-liked and doesn’t have many enemies, all signs point to the return of Emma Jacobs.

Emma first appeared in Season 10, making quite the impression as a ruthless and ambitious medic who tried to sabotage Violet’s reputation. When her attempts to undermine Violet failed, she resorted to blackmail, targeting both Violet and her late boyfriend, Evan Hawkins, to secure a better position for herself. However, her plan ultimately backfired, and instead of advancing her career, she found herself ousted from the firehouse.

Unfortunately for Violet, Emma didn’t disappear entirely. She resurfaced in Season 11, this time as an investigator for the CFD’s Internal Affairs Division. She took a special interest in a case involving Sam Carver, another firefighter with whom Violet had a romantic connection. Though the investigation didn’t result in major consequences, Emma made it clear that she wasn’t done making trouble.

Violet eventually played a crucial role in Emma’s downfall when she discovered a recording of Hawkins exposing Emma’s unethical behavior. With this evidence, Emma was fired from IAD and seemingly disappeared from the CFD world for good. But now, she’s back, and she wants something from Violet.

The big question is: will Violet fall for whatever scheme Emma has up her sleeve? Emma has proven to be manipulative and untrustworthy, but Violet has a compassionate nature. Despite knowing how dangerous Emma can be, she may still feel a sense of guilt for having played a part in her firing. This could leave her vulnerable to whatever story Emma spins to gain sympathy.

While there’s a chance the show is setting up a different returning character, all clues seem to point to Emma Jacobs being the one knocking on Violet’s door. The real suspense lies in whether Violet will be able to stand her ground—or if she’ll let her guard down and risk getting burned once again.
