Next week on Casualty, Indie’s shift takes a dramatic turn, Russell leaves Flynn with a big decision to make, and Ngozi faces huge temptation. Plus, Iain and Faith’s wedding day arrives, but Stevie is reluctant to attend.

1. Indie is on a mission

Indie is called upon to help find the baby of a patient, who has been left in a car. She is given the keys and she frantically searches the car park to find the vehicle that unlocks. Indie eventually locates the car, but the baby is in a bad way, so she rushes her into the ED and leaves her in the care of Dylan and Ngozi.

The student paramedic is shaken up by this traumatic incident, and she is shocked that a parent would leave their child in such peril.

2. Ngozi is tempted

Ngozi faces a busy shift and attempts to calm down some rowdy patients in reception. Nicole helps out and takes a whiskey bottle from one of the patients, then checks in with her partner. Ngozi explains that Obi’s CT scan has been moved forward to today, which means that she should soon get answers about her son’s seizures.

Nicole encourages her to think positively about the scan, then leaves Ngozi to dispose of the bottle of whisky. As a recovering addict, Ngozi is tempted to have a drink. Will she manage to resist?

3. Flynn faces a dilemma

As Flynn arrives at work, he is stopped by Russell, who asks him if he is going to take Rida’s side, following the complaint she made about him. Flynn makes it clear that he has told HR exactly what he saw of the incident, but Russell puts pressure on his son-in-law to change his mind.

Russell says that he will unfreeze the nursing budget and stay quiet about Flynn’s secret affairs, if he retracts his statement about Rida’s complaint. With Flynn’s professional and personal lives colliding in dramatic fashion, what will he decide to do?

4. Stevie calls for help

On the day of Faith and Iain’s wedding, she is concerned that Stevie – as her maid of honour – won’t show up. At home, Stevie ignores her friend’s phone calls and instead takes a shower. But as she is still recovering from her surgery, the cold water shocks her, and she faints.

Iain shows up to Stevie’s flat, frustrated by her absence. But when he hears her calling for help, he forces his way in and helps her out of the shower. Stevie explains that she won’t be attending the wedding, as she is embarrassed by her menopausal symptoms. But Iain refuses to give up and tells her to get ready. Will Stevie make it to her best friend’s big day?

5. Samuel gets a visitor

Indie gets a call from her dad Samuel, who asks to see her for a catch up. She explains that she is busy as she’ll be attending Iain and Faith’s reception, but the pair agree to meet up afterwards. Earlier events are still playing on Indie’s mind, so she thanks her dad for looking after her properly when she was a baby.

Samuel is touched to be making a breakthrough with her daughter, but their call is interrupted when he is approached by a dangerous debt collector. With Samuel in trouble, will Indie be roped in to help solve his problems again?
