Adele looked out of this world as she transformed her hair into a brand-new look ahead of her concert farewell.
The English megastar recently revealed her current run of ‘Weekends With…’ concerts at the iconic Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas were likely to be her last. She told her audience: “This really is the beginning of the end. There are no other f****** shows. I’m not going to be like, ‘Surprise!’ This is the end.”
Over the Halloween weekend, Adele took to her Instagram page to share a few photos from her 47th weekend of performing on stage. The star completely transformed her hair to emulate Meryl Streep’s luscious blonde locks in Death Becomes Her, complete with perfect curls, statement earrings and a chunky necklace.
She wore a similar plunging silver top with dramatic collars and completed the look with black trousers and flawless makeup. In the carousel of photos, one showed none other than Meryl herself hugging Adele in the audience. She also shared stills of her on stage singing her heart out.
Fans immediately rushed to the comment section to share their love for the movie reference, with one user saying: “Death Becomes Her? No, more like iconic becomes her,” while another person posted: “Just the BEST actress and BEST singer of all time in the same photo!”
“This one is going down in the books as my fav Halloween-themed show ever! So much fun!” one fan commented and another added: “You are my idol love you.”
Meryl was also in attendance at the gig
Adele, speaking on Friday, said of the end of her gigs: “This really is the beginning of the end. There are no other f****** shows. I’m not going to be like, ‘Surprise!’ This is the end. It’s [the 100th and final show] the weekend before Thanksgiving, isn’t it? And that’s the last one. I don’t have any plans to be on stage indefinitely, really.
“They say that if you want things and you are looking for things in life, you have to pay the universe and then it pays you back tenfold. I feel like that’s what’s happened with this show for me. My life is a thousand times better. My life, not my career, not my music. I’m talking about my actual life. And I really, truly think that this show has been my best f****** friend throughout all of that. And I’m so genuinely sad.”
