Rich Paul and Adele attend a Lakers gameon Nov. 23, 2023.
The 16-time Grammy winner, 36, shared some life news
with fans at her Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas on Friday, May 17,
when she revealed that she eventually wants to have a baby girl with partner Rich Paul.
The announcement came shortly after Adele helped a couple with their sex reveal on stage when she shared that she too was “desperate for a girl” of her own the “next time” she has a child, per a fan-recorded video from the concert. She shares her 11-year-old son Angelo with ex Simon Konecki.
“Once I’m done with all of my obligations and all of my shows, I want to have a baby. And I want to have a girl because I’ve already got a boy,” she said, per the footage.
“I feel like she might be the person I love the most in the world and I’ll probably hate the most in the world as well… She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?”
The “Easy on Me” singer then mentioned that due to who the child’s parents would be — Adele and her sports agent partner, 42 — she’s going to have quite a unique personality. “With me as her mother and Rich as her father, my daughter’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”
This past weekend wasn’t the first time Adele spoke to fans about motherhood aspirations, as she previously did the same during a residency gig last August. As she revealed at the time at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, she “really” wanted to “be a mom again soon.”
“I’ve actually been writing lists,” she said. “So every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone.”
While having to pick between the names Spencer and Parker for a concert-goer who needed help picking a baby name, Adele jokingly responded: “I can’t say Parker because Rich likes that name.”
Speaking with E! News in June 2022, Paul spoke about the possibility of having “more kids” as someone who is already a father of three. “As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough,” he said, referring to his sports agency. “But now looking as an older dad and my kids being much older, and obviously, if I was to have more kids… I’m looking forward to being a different dad, a more patient dad.”
As previously reported, also at the May 17 show, Adele sent some love to her “stepdaughter” — Paul’s daughter Reonna Simone Paul — following her college graduation.
“Her name is Reonna,” Adele said of the Clark Atlanta University graduate, adding, “So I love you, darling. Congratulations.”
“So they’re all in Atlanta, and they’re celebrating her,” Adele added of the Paul family. “And obviously I’m here with you — wouldn’t be anywhere else — but I love you, baby. I love you!”
