At her Las Vegas residency, Adele had a heartwarming moment that took her by surprise. During her performance of “When We Were Young” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday, the Grammy-winning singer paused mid-song to greet a very special guest in the audience — the doctor who delivered her son, Angelo, back in 2012.
Clearly emotional, Adele exclaimed, “Oh my God, Colin,” as she spotted him in the crowd. She shared how it had been years since they had seen each other. Walking over to him, Adele, dressed in a gothic Halloween look, gave him a heartfelt hug. “Sorry,” she told the audience, her voice choked with emotion. “Will you sing it for me? That man delivered my baby.”
Adele’s son, Angelo, was born in October 2012, and she co-parents him with her ex-husband, Simon Konecki. The pair parted ways in 2019.
During the same performance, Adele also spoke openly about her desire to expand her family. Turning to the crowd, she confided, “I’m desperate for another baby, Colin.” She had previously mentioned her hopes to have another child, even saying in August that she was eager to be a mom again. At that time, she revealed that she had been writing down baby names she liked.
When an audience member asked her to choose between the names Parker and Spencer, Adele teasingly mentioned that her partner, sports agent Rich Paul, favored the name Parker, making it off-limits for her. It was clear that she and Rich had already begun discussing the possibility of a new addition to their family.
Beyond her concerts, Adele has often shared her longing for more children. In a 2022 interview with Elle, she expressed her desire to give Angelo a sibling, saying that she felt grounded by the idea of a stable home life, which helped her with her music. At that time, she had made it clear that her focus was on her Vegas residency but hinted that the idea of growing her family was always on her mind.
Rich Paul, who has three children from previous relationships, also spoke candidly about fatherhood. Reflecting on his experiences raising children while building his career, he mentioned that, now that his kids are older, he looks forward to being a more patient and present father if he were to have more children.
