Adele has shared some exciting plans for her future, revealing that she dreams of adding a “bossy little queen” to her life! During her Weekends With Adele residency in Las Vegas on May 17, 2024, the Grammy-winning singer, 36, opened up about her desire to have a baby girl with her partner, sports agent Rich Paul. This announcement came shortly after Adele helped a couple reveal the gender of their baby on stage, at which point she expressed her own longing for a daughter. She shared with the audience that after her ongoing professional commitments, she hoped to have another child, saying, “I want to have a girl because I’ve already got a boy.”
Adele, who is already a mother to 11-year-old Angelo from her previous marriage to Simon Konecki, humorously predicted that a daughter would bring both love and challenges into her life. “I feel like she might be the person I love the most in the world and I’ll probably hate the most in the world as well… She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?” she joked. She further added that with her and Rich as parents, their daughter would likely have a unique, strong personality. “With me as her mother and Rich as her father, my daughter’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?” she laughed, highlighting the fun dynamic that their future child might inherit.
This isn’t the first time Adele has talked about her hopes for expanding her family. Back in August 2023, during a performance at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, she shared how much she wanted to become a mom again soon. At that time, she also mentioned how she had been jotting down baby names she liked in her phone, revealing her excitement about the idea of motherhood once more. When helping a fan choose between the names Spencer and Parker, she playfully added that she couldn’t choose Parker because Rich liked the name.
Rich Paul, who already has three children from previous relationships, also discussed the possibility of having more kids in an interview with E! News in June 2022. Reflecting on his journey as a father, he shared that while having kids and growing his sports agency business was tough when he was younger, he’s now looking forward to being a more patient and present father as his children grow older.
In addition to discussing her hopes for a daughter, Adele also took a moment during her May 17 concert to celebrate her “stepdaughter,” Reonna Simone Paul, following her graduation from Clark Atlanta University. Adele sent her love to Reonna, saying, “Her name is Reonna… I love you, darling. Congratulations.” Adele expressed how much she missed being with the Paul family as they celebrated in Atlanta, but emphasized how important it was for her to be with her fans that night.
Adele’s candidness about her future plans, her desire for a daughter, and her warm acknowledgment of her growing family paints a picture of a singer who is deeply rooted in love, family, and future aspirations.
