Beyoncé fans are calling on country radio stations around the nation to play the superstar’s new singles after one station refused to do so.

Beyoncé announced two new songs — “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” —  in an ad during Sunday’s Super Bowl. Both songs have a heavy country influence, a departure from the Houston native’s usual R&B style, but when a fan requested Oklahoma radio station KYKC to play “Texas Hold ‘Em,” the station refused.

In a post on X, a user shared an email from the station that read, “We do not play Beyonce on KYKC as we are a country music station.”

KYKC did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment.

But fans across the country are urging members of the “Beyhive” to call their local country stations and request the songs.

“Beyoncé’s new single #TEXASHOLDEM is heading to country radio!” posted Beyoncé Legion, an account on X. It added that followers should Google their local country stations to submit their request.

Some stations have already begun playing the award-winning artist’s new songs.

“You know it’s real when your mom calls you to tell you that Country radio (specifically country radio in Nashville) just played the new Beyoncé,” posted on user. “Texas Hold ‘Em just played on @98WSIX.”

In addition to her two surprise singles, Beyoncé also announced on Sunday that a new album — “act ii” of her Renaissance era — will be released March 29. “act I” included her Grammy-award winning album Renaissance, a world tour and a documentary of the making of the tour.
