🎯 BREAKING NEWS 💣 ‘Chicago Fire’: Jake Lockett Talks Pascal’s Leadership, Truck’s Open Spot & More

Changes have come to Firehouse 52, with a new chief, Pascal, played by Dermot Mulroney, and an open spot on

Truck following Michael Bradway’s character Damon’s departure. As a result, fans are eager to know what’s next for

Carver and who will fill the empty spot. TV Insider spoke with Jake Lockett, who plays Carver, to get some answers.

Lockett also shared some insight into Carver’s love life, including his relationship with Violet, played by Hanako Greensmith.

From the beginning of the season, it’s been clear that Carver is going through a tough time. According to Lockett, Carver’s struggles stem from his past and his difficulty in dealing with emotions. Lockett explained that Carver has always set boundaries to protect himself from getting hurt, but his experiences at Firehouse 51 have forced him to open up and trust others. However, when his feelings for Violet weren’t reciprocated, it shook him, and he returned to Texas to figure out his emotions. The kitchen fire incident from the previous season, which hit close to home for Carver, also contributed to his desire to re-evaluate his life.

Lockett hinted that there may be more to Carver’s story in Texas, but he couldn’t reveal too much. He suggested that Carver’s unresolved issues with his family, particularly his father and brother, could be a significant part of his storyline. When asked what it would take for Carver to open up to someone again, Lockett hoped that it would be a growth point for his character, where he takes responsibility for his actions and leans on his chosen family at Firehouse 51.

Lockett also shared his thoughts on the new chief, Pascal, and how Carver perceives him. He believes that Carver appreciates Pascal’s no-nonsense approach to work, which challenges him to grow and push himself. Carver is someone who thrives on challenges and is inspired by Pascal’s bravery and willingness to take risks. While Pascal’s leadership style may be different from Boden’s, Carver sees it as an opportunity to learn and improve. As the season progresses, it will be interesting to see how Carver navigates his relationships with his colleagues and how he grows as a character.
